URGENT COMMS: Supply Issue affecting Cisplatin 50mg/50ml and 100mg/100ml concentrate for solution for infusion vials
Dear BOPA Pharmacy members
Hopefully, you will have received the enclosed Medicines Supply Notice last week, and the email sent to chief pharmacists yesterday (below).
This email is requesting you take urgent action.
Action: Trusts need to place orders for unlicensed imports of cisplatin NOW.
The lead time is around 2 weeks (but can vary).
As explained below, if Trusts do not place orders, the stock that is being identified by importers is going elsewhere.
Without orders, importers may not be able to identify sufficient quantities and deliver in time.
