We have taken the difficult decision to charge delegates a contribution towards the running of the course in order to ensure the financial sustainability of BOPA and the long-term future of the BOPA ITC.

Rest assured the content and quality of the Introduction to Cancer course will remain of the greatest value with high quality speakers.

We introduced a new agenda in 2025 which incorporates additional sessions on Paediatric Oncology, Haematology and Genomics, as well as traditional sessions on Oncological Emergencies, Verification and Side Effects of SACT which have received great feedback in the past.

Responding to popular demand and feedback from the membership, BOPA is redesigning its sell-out Introduction to Oncology course with new contents.

The rebranded “Introduction to Cancer” Course will return with a renewed agenda featuring additional topics that aims to provide an even more comprehensive understanding of fundamental subjects in cancer services for new-to-cancer services pharmacy professionals.

Day 1 – Basics in Oncology
Aimed at: Technicians (6+ months of experience in oncology) & Pharmacists (newly qualified or new to oncology)

Day 2 – Introduction to Oncology
Aimed at: Senior technicians (2+ years of experience in oncology) & Pharmacists (6+ months in oncology)
