RPS and UKCPA Antimicrobial Stewardship Event

BOPA has been asked to share with you details of the RPS  & UKCPA joint event ‘Building your confidence around antimicrobial stewardship’, on Friday 2 March at the RPS, London.

They are posing the questions; what is antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) and why is it of importance to pharmacists? Antimicrobial resistance is a global threat to healthcare and it’s here in the UK now – how are you tackling it?

The event has a packed and informative programme delivered by experts in their field. Members of your team will be able to find out how they can ensure their patients get safe and effective antibiotic treatment and minimise their risk of resistant infections. They will be able to describe AMS principles and learn strategies to promote appropriate antimicrobial use within different clinical settings.
