New BOPA forum for Clinical Trials
We are pleased to share that a new national forum for oncology and haematology clinical trials pharmacy is now live for BOPA members.
As many of you know, working in pharmacy within oncology and haematology clinical trials is a highly specialised and often niche area. While there is already an NIHR forum that exists for NHS staff, there has not previously been a dedicated space for the wider pharmacy community. This new forum has been created to help bridge that gap.
What is the forum for?
This platform is designed to support collaboration and shared learning across the clinical trials pharmacy community. You can use it for the following:
• Ask questions about clinical trials pharmacy practice
• Share experiences, challenges, and solutions
• Seek advice from peers working in similar roles
• Discuss processes, governance, and best practice
Whether you are new to clinical trials or highly experienced, your participation will help build a strong and supportive national network.
Who can join?
The forum is open to BOPA members, providing an inclusive space beyond NHS-only platforms.
Get involved
I encourage you to join the forum, start discussions, and contribute to conversations. The value of this space will come from active engagement across the community. Please note that no commercially confidential trial information should be posted on this forum.
Members can access all BOPA forums here: https://www.bopa.org.uk/forums/
If you have any questions or suggestions for the forum, please feel free to get in touch.
Thank you for your support—I’m looking forward to seeing this community grow.
Many thanks,
Anita Carlier (Deputy Pharmacy Manager for Clinical Trials at Sarah Cannon Research Institute) on behalf of BOPA
