My Research – Session 3: Patient experience in virtual cancer clinics and working with MPharm students

Session 3 (Wednesday 17th March at 6:30pm GMT) –  CLICK HERE to REGISTER

We would like to invite you to join our monthly ‘My Research’ sessions. These sessions are delivered by members that have undertaken an audit or evaluation. They will spend 10 minutes describing their career pathway and the next 10 minutes about the research methods that they used. There will be time for detailed questions following the talk. These sessions will enable members to learn about quantitative and qualitative methods and the learning may guide and help you in your future projects. We also hope that this will be a good opportunity to learn about different career pathways in cancer pharmacy.

The third session will be delivered by: Melanie Dalby

Biography  – Melanie has worked in oncology and haematology for 9 years. Seven of these years have been at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. She completed a Darzi Fellowship (a bespoke leadership programme) in 2017 looking at how community pharmacists can support patients who take oral anticancer therapy. She has a specific interest in research that leads to direct clinical impact. Currently as the lead for cancer patient experience and engagement at Barts Health she works with patients to make positive changes to the care of cancer patients. She also leads the four Macmillan information and support centres across the trust.
