Associate Chief Pharmacist, Clinical Services, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust & Pharmacy Lead, South East Genomic Medicine Service Alliance

 

Nisha is the Lead Pharmacist for Cancer Services at Guy’s & St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust & Pharmacy Lead for SE GMSA.

Nisha has worked in oncology for 23 years, both in the NHS & private sector. Over the years, she has set up and worked in non-medical prescribing chemotherapy clinics for breast cancer patients, and introduced several new drugs into practice.

In her current role, she oversee the governance and strategic delivery of all systemic anti-cancer therapy services at the Trust and am a wider member of the pharmacy executive team. Until recently, she was also working as a Cancer commissioning Pharmacist at NHS England.

As the Pharmacy ATMP Working Group Chair for the Trust and Pharmacy Lead for South East Genomics Medicines Service Alliance (SE GMSA), she has a special interest in both Genomics and Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs). She is also involved with national working groups to develop and shape services around these for the future.

Sana Mahmood

Advanced Pharmacist – Electronic Chemotherapy Prescribing, Mount Vernon Cancer Centre

 

Sana is a SACT E-prescribing Pharmacist at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, part of East and North Herts NHS Trust. As part of her role, she is responsible for the E-prescribing system management and protocol development across the local consortium between East and North Hert, West Herts Hospitals and Luton and Dunstable hospital. 

She has over 15 years of NHS Hospital experience, with over 10 years in Cancer Services. She is an independent prescriber, leading clinics Lung and Ovarian cancer. 

Her special interests are genomics, pharmacy leadership and pharmacy research. 

Sana is a member of the BOPA Digital and research subcommittee. She is also member of the genomics affiliated group. As part of the research group, she has chaired and is leading workshops to support current and future pharmacists in portfolio development.
