Cancer Research UK’s Patient Information Services

Cancer Research UK’s patient information services can help people affected by cancer, despite the coronavirus crisis. All the information on CRUK’s ‘About cancer’ website comes direct from the experts – from the scientists who study cancer every day to our team of dedicated specialist nurses. The website also has up-to-date guidance about how coronavirus affects people with cancer and their treatment.

Visit www.cruk.org/coronavirus to find out more about coronavirus and cancer and www.cruk.org/about-cancer for information about different types of cancer and treatment options.

If patients are finding it tricky to navigate the maze of information surrounding cancer, or they’re worried about what they might find online, they can call CRUK’s team of cancer information nurses. There aren’t any call centre menus, just a friendly trained nurse to talk to and there’s an interpreting service for patients who need to use another language. The helpline is open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm – Freephone 0808 800 4040
