UK Early Career Researchers in Cancer (UKECRC) – Dr Kumud Kantilal

Kumud has been successfully appointed to the Academic Career Development Survey Working Group of the UK Early Career Researchers in Cancer (UKECRC) forum. The working group consists of multidisciplinary early career researchers and will explore barriers and enablers to developing an academic career. Kumud has over 15 years of experience as a cancer services pharmacists in NHS hospitals. She completed her PhD at the University of East Anglia, developing a primary care intervention to support self-management in older cancer survivors, in 2022. She is currently a Senior Research Fellow in the Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health, University College London. Kumud is thrilled to be selected on the working group and looks forward to representing the interest of BOPA members with respect to developing clinical academic careers.
