Position Statement: Pharmacy Technician Clinical Verification of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) and Supportive Medication Prescriptions

BOPA is pleased to announce publication of a position statement confirming our support for pharmacy technician verification of SACT and supportive medicines prescription. The BOPA executive committee acknowledges the contribution that pharmacy technicians make to patient care and supports changes in practice to better utilise the skills and experience of technician colleagues. We are working closely with the technician sub-committee to develop a national strategy and look forward to ongoing developments in this area over the coming year.
