NCRI survey of healthcare professionals regarding lifestyle intervention in early breast cancer patients

My name is Abigail Whittaker, and I am an academic foundation doctor at the University of Southampton. The NCRI would like to invite you to participate in a survey of healthcare professionals regarding lifestyle intervention in early breast cancer patients.

What will happen if I take part?

This study involves completing an anonymous online questionnaire which should take approximately 4 minutes of your time. If you are happy to complete this survey, you will need to tick (check) the box in the first question in order to continue. The survey will open the day the email invitations are sent out and will remain open for 4 weeks following the initial email invitation.

Why have I been asked to participate?

You have been asked to participate because you are a member of the breast multi-disciplinary team, and work closely with early breast cancer patients.

What information will be collected?

The survey will ask questions relating to your role, your assessment of lifestyle factors and any lifestyle advice you give to early breast cancer patients, as well as availability of lifestyle services for breast cancer patients.  Some questions contain freetext answers. You should not include any information from which you, or other people, could be identified.

What will happen to the information collected?

All information from this study will be stored securely on a password protected computer and backed up on a secure driver. All data will be pooled and only compiled into data summaries or reports. Only the researcher and their supervisor will have access to the information. The University of Southampton conducts research to the highest standards of ethics and research integrity. In accordance with our Research Data Management Policy, data will be held for 10 years after the study has finished when it will be securely destroyed.

This survey should take approximately 4 minutes. The survey is anonymous, and the results will remain completely confidential.

A link to the survey has been attached below. More detail about the study will be provided by clicking the link.
