National SACT regimen-specific consent forms – Publication update ‘Guidance on remote consent’

 

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic the guidance with three potential scenarios for remote consent is now available.

On behalf of the  SACT consent form national steering group, the consent form project team has provided guidance for obtaining consent for treatment in response to the COVID – 19 pandemic.   The guidance is now available on the CRUK website at : www.cruk.org/sact_consent.

The guidance includes three potential scenarios which individual Trusts may wish to adopt.  In addition, the document also includes examples of guidance and guidelines developed by Lancashire and UCLH and a framework by the NHS Wales Cancer Collaborative.

Please  disseminate/ forward  within your clinical teams/lead cancer clinicians for your organisation.
