Share Your Insights – Global Thromboprophylaxis Practices in Cancer Care
Dear colleagues,
We invite you to participate in a global survey on thromboprophylaxis practices for patients with cancer receiving ambulatory systemic therapies. This survey aims to understand current practices, assess guideline adherence, and identify gaps in implementation of these strategies. We will also explore the role of pharmacists in optimising cancer-associated thrombosis (CAT) prevention.
Why participate?
Your expertise as a pharmacy practitioner is invaluable in shaping strategies to improve care for patients with cancer. As the questions focus on institutional policies and practices, please discuss with colleagues at your healthcare service to ensure a representative response.
The survey includes optional questions to provide identifying information about yourself, for clarification or to participate in future collaborative initiatives or research in CAT.
Time required: ~15 minutes

Deadline: 07 April 2025
This project has received low risk ethics approval by Alfred Health’s HREC to cover researchers from that site. It is also supported by the organisation [BOPA] that has agreed to distribute the survey. Please check at your site for any local ethics or research governance requirements.

This important initiative has been developed in collaboration with oncology pharmacists and is supported by professional oncology organisations worldwide. Your insights will help shape future strategies to enhance evidence-based care for patients at risk of CAT.
We thank you sincerely for your time and contribution!
