COVID-NOW Oncology Workforce Study Open

Dear BOPA members,

Please take the time to complete this survey exploring the well being of NHS oncology staff during the COVID pandemic.  As key members of the multidisciplinary team, it is really important that the experiences of Pharmacy Professionals are reflected in this work, and that our voices are heard.  The survey is open until 28th June.

Thank you in advance

Emma

Are you a UK NHS employee working within an oncology hospital department?

Would you like to contribute to some important research exploring the impact of COVID-19 on the oncology workforce?

What is the research about?

The purpose of the research is to:

• Understand the experiences of NHS oncology staff
• Understand what factors might influence wellbeing, burnout and coping
• Understand what changes and support should be offered to help support the oncology workforce during COVID-19 and beyond

What does taking part involve?

Complete a short, anonymous survey by 28th June. It should take around 15-20 minutes to complete and can very done on a phone, tablet or computer.

To access the survey all you need to do it follow the link here: COVID-NOW SURVEY

We plan to have a further two surveys in the next 6-12 months as we would like to look at staff experiences as we move through COVID-19. Please do keep an eye out for these. We would appreciate your contributions. If you only want to do this survey now then this fine.

Who is carrying out the Research?

The study is led by The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust (Chief Investigator Dr Susana Banerjee) and is supported by The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and Lady Garden Foundation. This is in collaboration with researchers at Lancaster University. The study has been endorsed by The Association of Cancer Physicians (ACP) and British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA).
