Vacancy: BOPA Let’s Communicate Cancer Lead

Are you a passionate pharmacy professional with a strong interest in education and training? Do you have the experience and leadership skills to drive forward a nationally recognised initiative that’s transforming cancer education in pharmacy? Are you a pharmacist on the consultant credentialing pathway? If you have answered yes to any of the questions: this role may be the one for you!

The British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA) is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking pharmacy professional to lead our flagship Let’s Communicate Cancer project.

This is a unique opportunity to:

Lead a nationally recognised, award-winning education programme aimed at improving cancer care across pharmacy sectors

Shape the future of oncology education by steering the strategic direction of the project

Collaborate with multidisciplinary experts and stakeholders across the NHS, academia, and professional bodies

Inspire and support the next generation of pharmacy professionals to confidently engage in cancer care

We are looking for someone who:
· Is a qualified pharmacist or pharmacy technician with oncology, haematology or education experience (minimum of 3 years).
· Has a demonstrable passion for teaching, training and development
· Possesses strong leadership and project management skills
· Is confident in engaging with stakeholders and driving change at a national level

Key roles of the position:

• Maintenance of the RSPH accreditation
• Managing enquiries with regards to LCC
• Oversee the ongoing review process
• Be the main point of contact for any proposed changes/additions to LCC
• Maintain the quality of LCC with regards to media quality
• Communicate with outside agencies such as E-Learning for Health and the NPA National Pharmacy Association
• Ensure that LCC is in date on E-learning for health and be responsible for the review and update
• Work with the Royal College of Pharmacy and BOPA committees to include LCC into their programme
• Increase the reach of LCC

Please note, as part of the role, it is required that the lead of this project attends monthly BOPA education and training meetings. If successful for the post you will have an induction period which will include a handover.
