The guidance on the use of oral SACT for patients unable to swallow has been released!

Administration of oral systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) via enteral feeding tubes and other methods (Version 2)

This document replaces one in the Oral SACT Counselling Handbook for Pharmacy and Nursing staff (LCA, 2015) – patients with swallowing difficulties.

We would like to thank a team of Specialist Cancer Pharmacists and Medicines Information Pharmacists, who took the time to review each monograph using the latest evidence. This document is provided for informational purposes only and is intended to be used as a support tool. It should not determine your clinical decision making and it remains the responsibility of all medical professionals to use clinical judgement to make appropriate decisions.
