Thank you – and the launch of the Royal College of Pharmacy (RCPharm)

Thank you for placing your trust in me by voting me onto the English Pharmacy Advisory Council of the Royal College of Pharmacy. I am genuinely grateful for your support and for the opportunity to represent cancer pharmacy at this important time for our profession.

Today, 15 April, marks the formal launch of the new Royal College of Pharmacy – a landmark moment for pharmacy across the UK. As BOPA has rightly stated:

“The launch of the Royal College of Pharmacy represents a landmark moment for our profession – the culmination of years of collaboration and leadership across the UK pharmacy community. The UKPPLAB’s (Independent UK Pharmacy Professional Leadership Advisory Board to strengthen collaboration | Join the Conversation) recently published proposals outline an ambitious, inclusive and patient-centred vision for the future of pharmacy, rooted in co-creation, shared purpose and a commitment to raising professional standards across every part of pharmacy practice.

BOPA is proud to have contributed to this collective effort, ensuring the voice of cancer pharmacy is firmly embedded in shaping a new, unified professional home, and we look forward to continuing our role in strengthening collaboration, supporting workforce excellence, and championing the needs of patients and the pharmacy professionals who care for them.”

As your representative, I am here to listen to BOPA members, to bring your perspectives forward, and to help shape a future College that collaborates, listens, and brings all of pharmacy together.

Thank you again for your support. I look forward to working with and for you on behalf of BOPA and the RCPharm (www.rcpharm.org)
