Publication of new and updated dose banding tables
Dear Colleague
NHS England has published eight new/updated dose banding tables on its website (NHS commissioning » Chemotherapy dose banding (england.nhs.uk)):
1. Three new tables have been uploaded into the list of documents:
• Bendamustine 45mg/mL v1
• Mogamulizumab 4mg/mL v1
• Vyxeos liposomal 2.2mg/mL and cytarabine 5mg/mL v1
2. Tables updated with new versions:
• Standard 2mg/mL v7: this table has been updated to include the new strength of arsenic trioxide (2mg/mL). There are no changes to the dose bands.
• Standard 20mg/mL v7: Irinotecan has been removed from the list of “Example drugs” as Irinotecan has its own table. There are no changes to the dose bands.
• Carfilzomib 2mg/mL v7: this table has been expanded with three additional bands. “Drug- and Dose-specific Tables” have been removed.
• Nivolumab 10mg/mL v3: the dose bands of this table have been rationalised. 220mg & 260mg dose bands have been removed (no longer needed); added additional band of 480mg. The product details have also been updated.
• Pembrolizumab 25mg/mL v3: this table has been updated to include the 6-weekly dosing.
Changes to each table are recorded on the “Amendment history” column of the document: “National dose banding table – Drug List” (link: NHS England » National dose banding table drug list). This document is updated each time a new/updated table is uploaded.
