LCC 2026 Funding Opportunity: Pharmacist Reviewers for ‘Let’s Communicate Cancer’ Programme

Let’s Communicate Cancer review 2026

The BOPA Education and Training Subcommittee have a great opportunity for pharmacists to become involved in the review of the ‘Let’s communicate cancer’ training modules. ‘Let’s communicate cancer’ is an extensive resource for all health professionals on many aspects of cancer care. The resource includes information on cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatments, and how to better support patients undergoing cancer treatment. There are five training modules:

  • Module 1: Early diagnosis and prevention
  • Module 2: What is cancer
  • Module 3: Treatment of cancer
  • Module 4: Supporting your patients with cancer
  • Module 5: A Patient Journey

Who are we looking for?   For the update, we are looking for a number of experienced pharmacists to review the eLearning content which includes powerpoint presentations, quizzes, PDFs and videos. If you have a minimum of 3 years’ experience practicing in oncology, or alternatively, if you are a community pharmacist with an interest in oncology we would love to hear from you.

How to apply?
If you would like to get involved please complete a brief statement (roughly 300 words) of the skills and experience you have which would be beneficial in the review of the modules. Please also include your current role and place of work.

Applications should be sent via the MS Form. Please note, applications will close on 15th May 2026 and we will let candidates know the outcome by 5th June 2026.   Thank you!

We understand everyone is under increased pressure at the moment and the reviewer will be remunerated for their valuable time at a rate of £50/hour (capped at £250 per person). We aim to have the review completed by the end of September.  By completing the application form you are confirming agreement of the terms of review.

Thank you for considering this opportunity and we look forward to hearing from you!

Best wishes,

Jenny Allen LCC Lead
