Launching the Intro to Oncology Page

BOPA is thrilled to launch a new dedicated page on our website for the Introduction to Oncology course. The page can be accessed under the education tab, or the address link below.

https://www.bopa.org.uk/intro_to_onc_2023/

The Introduction to Oncology study day has been a mainstay of BOPA’s continued effort to promote excellence in the pharmaceutical care of patients with cancer through education by supporting pharmacy practitioners venturing into the oncology specialty with fundamental knowledges.

The oncology pharmacy workforces have developed and expanded significantly over the past decade, and the Introduction to Oncology course has also evolved to keep its content relevant and up-to-date to current practices. This year the Intro to Oncology course has a major update. The course has been redeveloped into a 2-day format, incorporating more educational material suitable for different entry-level oncology pharmacy practitioners.

The course is also being held in two different cities to accommodate members travelling from different locations and to cater the popular demand.

The new Intro to Oncology page will showcase the successes of the course, and become the central hub for all members to access news and information about the course.

Kudos to the Education and Training Subcommittee for the hard work in hosting the Introduction to Oncology course!
