Home again but team #BOPA still has more to deliver!

The #BOPA team are all safely home, but the hard work and commitment continues. We are all tasked with producing a detailed write up on the new data we felt had an important impact.  We aim to produce a written report and will include some of the early analytics from ASCO.  We can also cover all the bases and produce a powerpoint slide set for all our members to use.   We might need a few days as there are some tired legs after all the walking!, 20,000 steps a day at least!  Keep a look out on the Bursary section of the website.

We know many BOPA members don’t regularly yet use twitter, but with a little help and peer support it’s easy to learn how to filter out the ‘noise’ and it is the current in vogue way to receive and share educational data.   The use of twitter at #ASCO18 was staggering, and if it’s the endorsed by the world’s most important cancer conference then #BOPA should be adopting this as standard.  The #BOPA team have some great idea’s how they can support the rest of the membership to take advantage of digital.

Thanks for the support and encouragement from friends of #BOPA back home, this was a real first for BOPA and we inevitably have been learning as we go along.  Thanks to all the team and the truly excellent support from Darren, Gail and Martin the WhyHealth team who took us on this digital journey.  The Team will have a session at BOPA Congress in October so be sure to come and hear from them.
