BOPA NMP Study Day

Venue: The Christie School of Oncology, Manchester M20 4BX

Aims: To provide current and future pharmacist prescribers with knowledge and tools that support delivery of high quality prescribing services for patients receiving anti-cancer treatment.

Audience: BOPA Members interested in Non-Medical Prescribing Opportunities and Challenges.

Cost: FREE to BOPA Members. (£100 fee for non-attendance)

09.30 – 10.15: Setting up a new NMP role at an Outreach Site – Mark Pearce

10.15 – 11.00: Common challenges of working as a NMP and case study – Jenny Wood

11:00 – 11:15: Coffee Break

11:15 – 12:00: Developing a successful business case a NMP role – Prof Nicola Stoner

12:00 – 12:45 LUNCH (not provided – Canteen on site)

12:45 – 16:00 The Method – Communicate with Confidence Workshop. These will be interactive sessions focussed on enhancing communication between pharmacists and patients/clinicians to facilitate a current or future NMP role .
