BOPA Education and Training Webinar: Clinical AI in the NHS

Helena Langford is a Fellow in Clinical AI and a Clinical Informatics Pharmacist at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, with several years of experience in clinical informatics. As part of their fellowship, they are working with Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to implement a new AI tool, gaining practical experience in deploying AI within the NHS. In this webinar, they will introduce AI in the NHS, covering key considerations for implementation, responsible use, and insights into the NHS Fellowship in Clinical AI.

Royce Rajan is a pharmacist with demonstrable experience in healthcare delivery at local, regional, and national levels, specialising in clinical informatics. His clinical background in secondary care with a focus on critical medicine, underpins his ability to evaluate and influence digital initiatives that support safe and effective patient care. As a Clinical AI Fellow, Royce is collaborating with Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on the deployment of an AI‑enabled Single Point of Access for Referral and Coordination (SPARC) platform. This work aims to enhance and streamline the busy ophthalmology referrals pathway, improving efficiency and supporting timely clinical decision‑making.
