SUMMARY:ISOPP & BOPA Joint Webinar: Sitting in the opposite chair\, part of London Global Cancer Week - 2025
DESCRIPTION:The upcoming ISOPP & BOPA joint webinar\, Sitting in the opposite chair\, part of London Global Cancer Week – 2025\, will take place on November 26\, 2025 at 7:00 PST (to find your local time click here). \nThis webinar is free for all ISOPP members. Please register by using the link below if you wish to attend. Upon your registration\, you will receive a confirmation with the webinar access details. If you are not an ISOPP member\, click here to join now for NO-FEE. \nThis free webinar offers a unique perspective on cancer care through the eyes of a consultant cancer pharmacist\, Emma Foreman\, Consultant Pharmacist\, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year. It explores how professional expertise can both help and complicate the patient journey\, revealing the emotional\, physical\, and systemic challenges faced when sitting “on the other chair.” \nThrough personal storytelling and reflection\, the speaker will share their path from initial symptoms to diagnosis and treatment — highlighting moments where clinical knowledge provided clarity\, as well as times when it heightened anxiety or created unexpected dilemmas. \nAttendees will leave with practical insights into integrating patient voices into oncology pharmacy education\, advocacy\, and daily practice\, and will be inspired to approach cancer care with deeper empathy and patient-centered focus. \nIt can often be hard to accommodate all preferred dates and time zones for an international audience. If this time doesn’t work for you\, a recording will be placed on the ISOPP website for members to view at their leisure. \nWe look forward to seeing you online! \nClick here to register for the webinar \nIMPORTANT NOTE: If you have accessed this Webinar registration site before\, please ensure to click “Edit” next to “ISOPP Webinar” in Summary page\, and check the webinar(s) you would like to register for.
