She has held various roles within cancer including developing new clinic pharmacy services at UCLH and Lead Pharmacist for London Cancer. She the current co-chair of the UK Chemotherapy board \, joint audit\, and research lead for BOPA and chair of The Chemotherapy Expert Reference group at the NCL cancer alliance as well as a member of the Heath Foundation Q Community. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \nBiography (Bruce Burnett) – My name is Bruce Burnett and I am a final year PhD student at Swansea University. I have a Master of Medical Sciences in Clinical Oncology and a Batchelor of Science degree in Pharmacy with a postgraduate certificate in Supplementary Prescribing.  My current research relates to the prediction of colorectal cancer from routinely collected health and social data using machine learning techniques. Previously I was an oncology pharmacist with over 15 years experience and an interest in head and neck and upper GI cancers. We also hope that this will be a good opportunity to learn about different career pathways in cancer pharmacy. \n  \nThe second session will be delivered by: Nick Duncan and Andrea Preston \n  \n \nBiography (Nick Duncan) – Nick is an Academic Practitioner in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Birmingham and Consultant Haematology Pharmacist at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust\, UK. He qualified as a pharmacist in 1994 and has spent most of his career to date working in oncology and haematology\, particularly in the area of haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. He qualified as an independent prescriber in 2010 and has an active prescribing role in a variety of haematology clinics. Areas of research interest include medicines adherence\, chronic myeloid leukaemia and antifungal stewardship. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \nBiography (Andrea Preston) – Andrea is the Divisional Lead Pharmacist for Haematology at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and part time Cancer Commissioning Pharmacist for NHSE South. She studied pharmacy at Cardiff University and qualified in 1999. The majority of her career has been in cancer services. In her clinical role she is proud to work within an excellent team of cancer pharmacists delivering specialist pharmacy services to oncology and haematology including BMT and CAR-T. She is an independent prescriber in multiple myeloma and amyloidosis. Her special interest in pharmacy research started after completing an MSc in Clinical Oncology at University of Birmingham\, where she met and started collaborating with Nick Duncan.
