DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to inform you that the Introduction to Oncology Course will now be running as a virtual seminar series.\n  \nNo need to register for the first seminar – see meeting invite below \n  \nWednesday 24/06/2020 18:00 – Oncological Emergencies – Bruce Burnett (free to all) \nPlease familiarise yourselves with your local Neutropenic sepsis/hypercalcaemia and tumour lysis syndrome policies. \nMessage from the Speaker – Bruce Burnett: \nFor the introduction to oncology course Oncological Emergencies Session we normally try to compare different policies. This will be difficult to do in real time so if you are taking part please use your local policies to respond to two clinical cases – 2 parts for 2 different patients. You will not be able to see what others have posted until the session proper. \nWe will use Padlet\, which allows users to post notes by clicking the ‘+’ below the answer column. Appropriate background information is available for each case (don’t ask for any more information!) to help you decide on the best action.\nThere are no wrong answers to these but we will try to discuss some of the differences in policy / approach. DESCRIPTION:BOPA presents a 6 part live e-learning Statistics Webinar series to help you understand and work on Statistics without Tears! We’ve got a great speaker lined up with content that will be vital in your oncology pharmacy career. The sessions will be interactive and questions will be welcomed to help you with your statistical fears. We will run these on a monthly basis and the first one is free to all and then subsequently free to BOPA members. \nYou can become a BOPA member instantly by joining on the website. DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: Given the ongoing developments in terms of COVID-19\, the UK BMT Pharmacists’ Group has taken the decision to postpone the educational meeting that was due to take place in London on Friday 13th March.  They are hoping to rearrange for later in the year. \n  \n  \nThe UK BMT Pharmacists’ Group (a special-interest group affiliated to BOPA) is running an educational meeting at University College Hospital (UCH Education Centre\, 250 Euston Road\, London NW1 2PG)\, on the afternoon of Friday 13th March. \nAlthough the meeting will have a transplant-focus\, we have tried to make the agenda fairly broad\, and all pharmacists with an interest in haematology are very welcome to attend. \nThere is no registration fee and no need to pre-register but it would help from a logistical point of view if you could email: nick.duncan@uhb.nhs.uk  if you are planning to attend \nBMT meeting Agenda March 2020 \nThanks – Nick Duncan and the BOPA Committee
