DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 23rd April 2025 1-2pm BST\n  \nWebinar Schedule:  \nAiredale NHS Foundation Trust secured NHSE Invest to Save funding and employed two part-time pharmacists to reduce wastage and expenditure of cancer chemotherapy – Emma Makram (25mins) \nUtilising the NHSE SACT waste calculator to assess the level of waste – Experience at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust (CHFT) and Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust – Louise Hemmings (25 mins) \nQ&A (10mins) \n  \nBiographies: \n\n \nEmma Makram is a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist in Cancer Services Medicines Optimisation at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. She has worked in this role as a job share since 2023 as part of the NHSE Invest to Save Initiative. In this role\, Emma has been involved in several projects to make savings and reduce SACT waste.  \n\n\nSince qualifying as a pharmacist in 2011\, Emma has worked in community pharmacy in the North West of England before moving to hospital pharmacy via bank roles at The Christie Clinic and Airedale. She has worked at Airedale in various clinical roles since 2016. \n  \n \nLouise Hemmings is an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist in Cancer Services working at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust. From September 2023 to September 2024 she undertook a secondment to work with NHSE as part of an Invest to Save Initiative specifically looking at SACT Waste across Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust and Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust. She completed her MPharm at the University of Bradford and a post graduate clinical pharmacy diploma at the University of Cardiff. Since qualifying 15 years ago she has worked as an admissions pharmacist\, antimicrobial pharmacist and in HIV and Sexual Health services at a number of different trusts in the Yorkshire region\, before moving into Cancer Services. \n  \n\n\nPlease Note:\n-Webinars will start at 13:00 GMT and will last about 30 minutes to 1 hour \n-The Zoom link for the webinar will be sent on the day of the event around 12:30pm (if you would like the link before this time please email contact@bopa.org.uk) \n-This webinar is FREE to access for BOPA Paid Members or Free Associates \n-Webinars will be recorded and appear in the BOPA eLearning section of the website via this LINK
